Providence Canyon State Park in Lumpkin, Georgia

In January I went to Alabama to visit Josh and Mar. When we were there Mar took us to the Providence Canyon State Park in Georgia (http://gastateparks.org/info/providence/). It's a giant canyon that is man made and was formed because of the farmers in the late 1800's that had poor land management with their farming. They created trenches for their seeds that then became gullies and then a canyon. All from water erosion. Below are lots of pictures of us in the canyon. You can hike down in to it about a mile or so and then walk around the entire canyon floor.

Below: The walls of the canyon are so soft that it's not surprising that they eroded away.

Below: This tree looks like its just hanging on by a thread and when I zoomed in (Above) you can see how it really is!
